The new album sounds much more like the last one (pilgrims progress), than the first one, K.
There has been a lot of talk, that this album would be back to the roots kinda thing, but I guess that’s just because of the name and the 1st single. However, I never thought it would sound like K, since the guys are in their 40’s.
I don’t understand why people have hard time getting that.
As good as K was at the time (I was a young dude back then as well),I’m happy that the guys are honest with themselves and don’t try to pretend, that they are still in their 20’s. There’s nothing more pathetic than that.
I think you can listen the whole album on the website of ”The Sun”, but I’m not sure…
There were too American for Brit-pop and I loved their first album when it came. Govinda… What a trip!
I was supposed to see them a few months before they broke up, but it got cancelled. I changed my ticket for a Reef show, which was pretty good. Oh, the 90s.
This new song is promising. Looking forward to the album.
I’m still liking this song a lot. I’m happy they’re adopting the atmosphere of their debut album. Love, love love the mix of pretty classic rock and sitar/indian sounds. They were pretty unique in the 90s, yep, pretty rock and american for the very very british music scene. But still kind of guitar music enough to be pretty succesful as a britpop group as well.
