OMVF’n Zeitgeist-erikoisnäytös kuulosti tältä (lainaus festareiden saitilta):

”Pakolaiskriisiä, rasismia ja Amerikan hullujen päivien karjalaumanomaista ryntäilyä, mutta myös Instagram-estetiikkaa. Zeitgeist-näytös manaa esille maailmalla vallitsevan tämänhetkisen henkisen ilmapiirin, niin hyvässä kuin pahassakin. Kattaus osoittaa, että musiikkivideotkin ottavat kantaa ympäröivään yhteiskuntaansa. Ne voivat halutessaan reagoida ja kommentoida päivänpolttaviin aiheisiin kaupallisten intressien ohella. Nykypäivän suru-uutisten ja tragedioiden keskellä olisikin outoa, jos tämä ei myös heijastuisi musiikkivideoiden puolelle. Onneksi meillä on käsillä runsas joukko kekseliäitä, ajatuksia herättäviä ja koskettavia videoita, jotka eivät pelkää toimia heijastuskuvana sanomalehtilööpeille.

”Refugee crisis, racism and Black Friday madness, but also Instragram aesthetics. This year’s Zeitgeist screening will look at the spirit of the times, mental atmosphere, both in good and in bad. The selection proves that music videos can also react to their society and the hot topics of the day, alongside commercial interests. In the midst of modern day shock stories and tragedies, it would be strange if this wouldn’t be reflected also in the music videos. Luckily we have a plentiful bunch of inventive, though provoking and touching videos, which are not afraid to act as a mirror to the society.
