Delay Trees julkaisi tänään joululahjan aka uuden sinkun keväällä ulos putkahtavalta neljänneltä pitkäsoitoltaan. It’s Not Who You Are on harvinaisen pirteä bändin tuotokseksi, ja toi samantien mieleeni erään toisen oivan, The Charlatansin, kepeimmät ja melodisimmat kipaleet. Pilvenreunalta ei ole silti tiputtu mihinkään, vaan tutussa unelmoinnissa liidetään. Sopiva soundtrack rauhoittumiseen siinä vaiheessa, kun joululaulut tulevat jo korvista ulos.

Delay Trees gave us a small Christmas treat today with a new single from the upcoming fourth album (out next spring). It’s Not Who You Are is not as melancholic as one might expect and it reminds me of some of the most melodic and airy songs from The Charlatans. Delay Trees still haven’t gone anywhere from the cloud they’re playing on – the essence of dreaming is still there. This is a perfect soundtrack to settle down towards Christmas, especially if you don’t want to hear another yule tune again…
